Lake Tahoe License Plate

HELP LAKE TAHOE

BUY THE

NEW LAKE TAHOE LICENSE PLATE

Californians who appreciate the beauty of Lake Tahoe can help preserve the lake's crystalline waters and green forests by purchasing the special new Lake Tahoe License Plates.

Revenues from sale of the plates will allow the California Tahoe Conservancy to carry out more of the stream restoration and public access projects described in this Progress Report.

The initial cost of a Tahoe license plate is $50, in addition to the usual annual registration fee and any additional charge for personalizing your plate. Renewal is $40, in addition to the registration fee.

The license plate was made possible by a joint effort of organizations, agencies, businesses, of individuals around the lake, who actively joined in promoting purchase of the first 5,000 new plates, which had to be sold to qualify the plate for production by the California Department of Motor Vehicles.

The Basin's ski resorts were particularly helpful, offering free lift tickets to the first 5,000 purchasers of the new plates.

The Conservancy gratefully thanks all of those who helped make the Tahoe License Plate possible.
